he first thing I found offensive was they showed an insignia of the US Army Special Forces, the Green Berets, as an insignia for Delta Force. To military vets this is pretty offensive and inexcusable. The next thing is they seem to use the movie as a source for some scenes. This did not seem right to me. This is followed by questionable quotes from Somali terrorist fighters that seem out of place, impossible to trust, and just strange. Of course it is very compelling to hear from the soldiers who participated in and survived this questionable mission. The sensationalism of war by film producers has always been around. One must admit that Scott did an amazing job telling this story. I have watched the film multiple times. I am a Vietnam era vet, and we, as far as I know never went through anything like this. Even so, there are some very serious errors in this film and it makes it hard to trust the veracity of this so-called documentary. One can only respect the soldiers and aviators who survived this bloody and very poorly managed escapade into Somalia. I think the real story has yet to be told.
